Dr. Stephen W. Record, O.D.
Dr. Stephen Record graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry, after receiving his B.S. degree in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts. He is a State Certified Low Vision Provider for the Virginia Department for the Blind and Visually Impaired and lectures extensively on low vision. In 2007, he was elected to the American Optometric Association's Low Vision Executive Council. He is the director of the Low Vision clinic at the University of Virginia Health Services Center. Dr. Record is Chairman of the Virginia Optometric Association Low Vision committee and the Co-Chairman of the Annual VOA Contact Lens Symposium. Dr. Record has personally worn contact lenses for over 30 years.

Dr. Record is past Director of Fields for SOCA. He is an avid tennis player, golfer, and skier.

Dr. Carol D. Record, O.D.
Dr. Carol Record graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry after receiving her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Stony Brook University. She conducted post doc vision research at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City and co-authored several papers on binocular vision. Dr. Record has served as a clinical investigator for various contact lens manufacturers, has personally worn several different types of contact lenses, and draws on this experience to suit your contact lens needs. Dr. Record has been a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and American Optometric Association since the 1980's. Dr. Record was president of the Virginia Optometric Association in 1999 - 2000. She was Trustee of the American Optometric Association from 2003 - 2005. She has served on several national eye care committees and continues to give back to her profession as a volunteer. Dr. Record was voted Virginia Optometrist of the Year 2002.

Dr. Record loves playing tennis and golf.

Dr. Erdal B. Adam, O.D.
Dr. Erdal Adam graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago with his Doctor of Optometry and his B.S. degree in Vision Science. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. He was associated with the Eye Institute of Essex (Clara Maas Hospital) in Belleville, NJ where he worked with general, retinal, corneal, and ocular-plastic ophthalmologists. He is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Adam lives with his wife and 3 children in Crozet. He enjoys karate, volleyball, skiing, and church fellowship.
